About

D.B. (Derrick) was born in Newfoundland and Labrador and has called British Columbia, Canada home for the past eighteen years where he lives with his wife and their two children.

D.B. has a Masters Degree in Social Work and has been a social worker at a provincial forensic psychiatric hospital for the past fourteen years.

D.B. is an avid runner, with an active imagination, and enjoys the challenging field of forensic social work. He is also a member of Crime Writers of Canada and the Federation of BC Writers. He has brought these elements together in his first novel which was shortlisted in 2013 for the Crime Writers’ Association (CWA) Debut Dagger for unpublished writers.
