Breakdown: An Introduction

I snapped the attached photo on my drive home from work, not because I like ice-cream, but because the image of the ice-cream truck instantly reminded me of an opening scene in my follow up novel for THE KILLER TRAIL. In BREAKDOWN, an unsuspecting motorist happens upon an abandoned ice-cream truck on a rural road. As the motorist gets closer he makes the shocking discovery that the truck was not abandoned after all. There are two men alongside; one dead, the other covered in a gruesome mixture of blood and melted ice-cream, rocking back and forth, repeating one word: “Home.”

Fortunately my experience in approaching this truck to take the photo was not as dramatic or traumatic as it was for the unsuspecting motorist in my novel. What happens next? Stay tuned!thumbnail_IMG_0781
