Dreamer’s Dream

My last post, “No Regrets”, was in reference to a song from Tom Cochrane, chosen because the theme held special meaning to me at the time. In light of recent developments in my writing career, I believe it’s fitting that I reference another Tom Cochrane song, “Dreamers Dream” as its central theme resonates strongly with me now.

After completing my debut novel I began looking for a publisher. It had been one of my goals, or dreams you might say, to work with a publisher towards having my book displayed in my favourite bookstores and libraries.

It was beginning to look as though I was going to have to revise my original goal of being published through traditional means and as a result I began exploring the independent route. But in the eleventh hour, so to speak, I had the great fortune of learning that NeWest Press was interested in working with me in publishing the manuscript.

The Killer Trail is being targeted for release in Spring 2014 and I am excited to be taking a huge step forward in turning my dream into reality!
