Nothing As It Seems

Nothing As It Seems is the title of a song I like from Pearl Jam. That title comes to mind when I  reflect on the cover photo for my website, and how it ties in with the manuscript for Fighting Darkness: The Killer Trail .

At the surface level,  it looks like an inviting tranquil winter scene. Yet, no one knows what lurks below the surface, after starting down that trail.

The protagonist in Killer Trail , Chris Ryder didn’t know what fate awaited him when he embarked on his run along a winter trail.  He had no idea that it would set off a chain of events including being hunted by a ruthless killer and being re-acquainted with a beautiful psychologist:  A killer on one side and a lover on the other!
