Entering The Next Stage: Editing

As exciting as it is to finish the first draft of a story, it’s still a first draft, and subject to editing. So, now I’ve entered the next stage, by sending the manuscript to a trusted editor to await a general evaluation. This will then lead to more specific editing such as copy/line edits, proof reading, etc. This editing stage will take as long as it needs to take, until the manuscript has been revised and refined enough to be considered ready to enter a whole other stage: submitting to the publisher. That’s a whole other story!
