Forest For The Trees

I was about to discard the first photo because of the dark lighting and poor focus. The second photo came out better when I took a step back and took the time to focus. I think the photos are symbolic of my current writing phase in which I’m right in the thick of things with revisions/editing. Under those circumstances it’s easy to fall into the trap of getting too wrapped up in the minutia. The photos serve as a reminder of the importance of stepping back in order to put things in better focus, with the result of seeing more clearly.
