No Regrets
I’ve been taking a musical trip down memory lane the past few days after hearing Tom Cochrane’s song, “No Regrets” on the radio. I’ve been a fan since his days with Red Rider, my favourite album being Neruda.
The theme of no regrets has also been on my mind lately. My son recently debated whether to try out for his middle school ‘rock band’. He deliberated back and forth on the pros and cons of taking on the challenge. My wife and I did our best to provide encouragement for whatever decision he made, and were very proud when he decided to go outside his comfort zone in trying out for the band.
I’m applying that lesson now to myself. Having deliberated on the pros and cons of traditional versus independent publishing, I’ve decided to go waaay outside my comfort zone in pursuing the indie route. And now that the decision has been made, I’m feeling very good about it, filled with excitement and …no regrets!
