Reflections and Resolutions
2013 was a busy but productive year for me in terms of laying the foundation towards a career in writing. In the early part of the year, I was involved with finishing the editing process for my first novel, THE KILLER TRAIL.
As the summer kicked in, I had the good fortune of being short listed for the CWA Debut Dagger (http://www.thecwa.co.uk/daggers/2013/debut.html) . I thoroughly enjoyed the awards ceremony in London as well as visiting England with my wife.
In late fall, I was involved with the creation of a trailer for my book as well as a new website. As the year comes to a close, I am working with NeWest Press on the final stage of the interior design and layout of the book in preparation for its May 2014 release.
A minor challenge I experienced this year was finding time to sit down and write new material for my next book. I’m very pleased with the elaborate outlines I’ve created for books two and three in the series, and I was excited to get a start with writing the follow up to THE KILLER TRAIL. Somewhere along the way time got away from me, but as 2014 approaches, one of my writing resolutions will be just that: writing.
All the best in 2014!
